Day 3 of the Corpus Christi Festival is coming!!
And it will be a busy one. We will go to Mass, pray our Rosary and our Novena and then get together for Coffee.

Here's what we're up to on Day 2 of the
Corpus Christi Festival!!
Our Novena will be posted on Facebook after the Rosary. The Rosary is at 11 am today and tomorrow and then the last Rosary of our Marathon Rosary with Pope Francis is on Monday at 1 pm.
Today's highlight is our Selfie Challenge. On the Feast of Corpus Christi it is traditional for the children who received First Holy Communion that year to lead the procession wearing their Communion clothes. On Corpus Christi, we are encouraged to wear white to remind us of our First Communion (and our Baptism). White is the colour of Corpus Christi - the priest wears white for this feast of our Lord.
Since we ARE Corpus Christi - let's get out our whites and let's make a statement that we ARE the Body of Christ. Wear your white, stand in front of a contrasting background and take a SELFIE IN WHITE today!!
Send your Selfie to our Festival Inbox - festival@corpuschristins.ca - as an attachment, or share it via Google Drive. We're going to post our gallery of Selfies on our new website. And build a collage of all our Corpus Christins!
So have some fun and take a Selfie in White. We'll accept them all week long, but the sooner we get them the better so the volunteers can get them ready to be added to the website and to our parish festival media.

Flowers!
FLOWERS, FLOWERS, FLOWERS
As we noted in the Festival Guide, flowers are a huge part of Corpus Christi celebrations. People decorate their houses, their churches and even the streets with flowers!! We are going to embrace these floral traditions by decorating the altar at St. Joseph Church with a multitude of flowers for Corpus Christi Sunday.
This is our feast day and we want to make it spectacular.
We invite those of you living nearby to donate flowers from your garden for the feast day, drop off will be on June 5 (Saturday) between 11 am and 2 pm in the parking lot of St. Joseph, Kentville. Please follow all Covid guidelines and restrictions.
For those not in the area we invite you to make a cash donation for the purchase of flowers to decorate the altar on Corpus Christi Sunday.
Donations can be sent to finance@corpuschristins.ca with Corpus Christi Flowers in the comment box.

It's another ordination anniversary!! Here's Fr. Val Valdemaras celebrating his 30th Ordination Anniversary at St. Joseph's, Kentville on May 31, 2011.
Fr. Val is presently living at Ivany Northwood Manor, Bedford, NS. Please remember him in prayer on his 40th.
We have been participating in the Pope's Marathon Rosary for the end to the pandemic all through May. We're almost done! Please join us for the last two days of our marathon: Sunday at 11 am and on Monday at 1 pm.
